Coach/Counselor Staff

Aside from the head coaches, 25-30 experienced, mature adults compose the full time coach/counselor staff at camp. These coaches come with high recommendations, and typically coach at the high school, club or collegiate level, or have finished their NCAA eligibility as collegiate swimmers and are looking to get into coaching as a profession. We also employ members of the Texas A&M University men's and women's swim teams and post-graduate athletes to work part time with the campers at the pool on a daily basis.
 
All full time counselors live in the dorm with the campers, and provide assistance to campers with anything necessary. Typically there are five to ten full time counselors living on each camp floor of the dorm.  All counselors have completed at least 60 hours of college coursework, have passed a security background check performed by the Texas A&M University Human Resources Department, and have completed a mandatory course on child protection.
